Displays for Cars

Frequently Asked Questions

Generally, no.

  • No impact on the original car: The smart screen is an independent device that does not connect to the car's control system, so it will not affect any original functions.
  • No impact on warranty: As it uses a plug-and-play power supply method (e.g., via the cigarette lighter), it does not modify the car's wiring and generally will not cause warranty disputes. If you choose to power it through the fuse box, it is recommended to have a professional handle the installation.

The installation should balance visibility safety and ease of use:

  • Preferred: The upper left corner of the center console in front of the driver (for left-hand drive vehicles) or slightly to the left of the center console. Ensure it does not block the forward view or important vehicle information (such as the speedometer).
  • Secondary option: Above the air conditioning vents, but be aware that hot air in summer may cause the screen to overheat.
  • Avoid: Completely blocking the center console screen, the airbag deployment area, or positions that are too far from the driver's normal line of sight.

The process typically follows these steps:

  • Hardware Connection: Secure the smart screen in place, then plug the power cable into the cigarette lighter to power it on.
  • Enter Connection Mode: On the smart screen, select the connection mode you want to use, either "CarPlay" or "Android Auto".
  • Phone Pairing: Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on, then search for and connect to the smart screen's Bluetooth device.
  • Authorization and Confirmation: During the connection process, follow the prompts on both the phone and the smart screen, and click "Allow," "Pair", or "Confirm" to grant all necessary permissions (such as contacts, audio access, etc.).
  • Successful Connection: Once these steps are completed, your phone's screen will automatically mirror onto the smart screen.
  • Subsequent Use: After the initial setup, the next time you get in the car, the smart screen will automatically connect wirelessly within 10-30 seconds after being powered on.

There are three main modes, which can be switched in the smart screen's settings menu:

  • Bluetooth Audio Mode (Most Common): The smart screen sends audio back to the car's sound system via Bluetooth. You will need to switch the car's audio input to "Bluetooth". This mode offers good sound quality and allows you to control volume / skip songs using the car's steering wheel buttons..
  • AUX Wired Mode: Connect the smart screen's AUX output port to the car's AUX input port using a 3.5mm audio cable. Then, switch the car's audio source to "AUX". This mode offers more stable sound quality, but requires an additional cable.
  • Smart Screen Built-in Speaker: The sound quality and volume are not as good as the car's audio system.

Absolutely, and there is no interference between the two. After connecting to the smart screen, your phone remains an independent device:

  1. Normal Operation: You can continue to use any app on your phone, browse the web, reply to messages, etc.
  2. Call Handling: All incoming calls will be notified through the smart screen and the car's audio system. You can answer or end the call directly on the smart screen, with the audio transmitted through the car's sound system to ensure driving safety. Calls will not interrupt navigation or music playback.
  3. Independent Audio: If you play a video or open an app not displayed on the CarPlay / Android Auto interface, the sound will default to the phone's speaker and will not interfere with the navigation or music playing through the car's system, ensuring audio separation.
